Arrest Made In Cape Woman's Execution-Style Murder

BOSTON -- Police have made an arrest in connection with the 2005 murder of Shirley Reine, who was shot to death in her sprawling Falmouth home on the eve of a court battle with her stepsons over control of a multi-million trash hauling business.
NewsCenter 5's Michele McPhee has learned that prosecutors indicted John Rams, 39, a convicted killer who is currently serving time at MCI-Gardner for breaking into Reine's home and stealing a safe and jewelry in 2002.
Five years after that burglary, Rams admitted he had been hired by Reine's stepson, Todd Reine, to break into his stepmother's house. Rams told police that Todd Reine, who was also convicted in the theft, "wanted Shirley dead."
Reine was convicted in the theft and was released from prison last month after serving four years.
