&Bull; On Jan. 23 Karen Stowers, no age given, Cleveland, Ohio, was arrested and charged with forgery and fraud after she allegedly attempted to pass a fraudulent check at an Eatonton Road grocery store. Officers arrived and detained Stowers and recovered an allegedly false Georgia driver’s license and three checks, none of which identified the account holder or driver as Stowers. Stowers told officers she was with other persons in a grey van but the van had left the premises when officers arrived.

• On Jan. 28 a harassing phone call complaint was filed at a Baldwin Dairy Road location after a woman alleged that her daughter’s boyfriend called and stated he was “going to (expletive) somebody up.” The daughter also alleged that her 8-year-old daughter was threatening to harm herself.
