How hard is it to replace an Oxygen Sensor on a 1998 Nissan Maxima SE. Do you have to have extensive Mechanic knowledge?
no..very easy to replace. Just get an Oxygen Sensor socket from local parts place. Its a long socket with a slot on the side allow room to slide completely over the sensor and its wire. They run about 9.00 .Just be sure to use some anti-sieze on the new

The knock sensor tells the computer if your car is pinging, usually caused by low octane gas, and adjusts the timing to compensate. The o2 sensor is in the exhaust system and tells the computer if the engine is getting the proper fuel mixture. Can I drive it for a few days or do I need to take it in NOW, or not worry about them at all.
