Evap engine light code on 2000 nissan maxima? Could that cause the car not to start? or dealy in starting?

I have been getting that code off and on for months and now my car won't start. It's done this before and when I changed the alternator it was fine for a while and now it won't start again. I had to leave it parked where it is and cannot afford a tow

the EVAP will not cause it not to start, all it does is take the vaper back to the gas tank. Now let's go to the starting problem, have your battery checked and see if you jump start it and then run. if battery is OK then have the alt. checked again

He was still lading his tools when he said three suspicious men drove by in a Nissan Maxima. Moments later, He said one of the men pushed him over, jumped in the truck and tried to run him over.

"I was right here banging on the window, I went to the street, they went to the cul-de-sac, came back and tried to hit me with the car," he said.

Ziff called police but the truck was already gone. Three hours later, officers tracked it down just three miles away at the Villa Apartments in Fresno. Sgt. Tim Tietjen says two men were already stripping the truck and moving parts into an apartment.

"If we wouldn't have found it this morning, by this afternoon...it would have been nothing but a shell," Sgt. Tietjen said.

Officers arrested two men, Jack Fowler and Ronald Moore, both for possession of stolen property. Sgt. Tietjen said Moore was also on parole for auto theft. It's a crime Tietjen says is down this year but still a problem.

"Auto thieves, they're looking for opportunities, when you leave that vehicle unattended, " Tietjen added, "they're driving the streets looking for that car...they get it and drive it away."
