Narragansett Man Charged With Stealing Car Parts in North Kingstown
According to North Kingstown Patch , Michael J. Barney, 25, of 21 Sassafras Trail in Narragansett, was arrested on April 24 at 3 p.m. and charged with larceny.
In October 2011, Barney allegedly stole a catalytic converter from a Subaru Forester at Kingstown Auto Recycling. Six months after the investigation began, police discovered that Barney had sold the converter to Metal Commodities for $120 two days after the part was stolen.
Police asked Barney to come into headquarters, where he allegedly admitted to stealing the item. He was arrested, arraigned and released with a court summons.
Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant
John E. Ucci, 37, of 104 Iroquois Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 1:52 a.m. on April 25. Police said there was a Fourth Division District Court warrant out for Ucci’s arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing for a cost review.
